Classic Straight Edge 7" Floorpunch, Wide Awake and Gorilla Biscuits

Continuing with the Straight Edge records, here are 3 more gems!

First, Floorpunch: Division One Champs from 1996.  Classic NJ hardcore here on In My Blood records!  First press on black out of 900 copies!

Next, is Wide Awake: Self Titled on Schism records.  This is an original press of Schism #4. CT Hardcore from 1988.  There are several variants of this record and the first set of labels were printed on white and subsequent on red/orange.

Lastly, one of the most well respected records from the Revelation catalog.  Gorilla Biscuits on rev4.
First pressing of this beast go for quite some money.  I've seen copies sell for up to $1000. This version is the 5th and current version.

Hard Stance: Face Reality 7" 1988 Zack de la Rocha

This is one of the first releases for Zack de la Rocha. From 1988, this was a the first of 2 releases from his Straight Edge band from high school Hard Stance

It fits right in with the SxE releases of the era and a bit derivative of the NYHC scene of the day.. particularly Harley Flanagan or Judge.  A far stretch from Rage Against the Machine

Asst Punk and Hardcore Records - The Damned/Agnostic Front/Angry Samoans/All/Sex Pistols

A few odds and ends from Doug's collection.

Agnostic Front: Liberty and Justice

Angry Samoans: Inside My Brain
1980 West Coast Punk

ALL: Allroy Sez

Some more West Coast punk/hardcore from 1988.

Sex Pistols: Never Trust a Hippy
Live bootleg from 1985

The Damned: Alone Again Or

British Punk from 1987
This song is actually a cover from a band called Love. The song was originally released in 1967 and is sort of a south western/mexican pop ballad.  The Damned does a great rendition.

Thor: Only the Strong! Red Vinyl - Self Proclaimed Worst Music Video Ever!

Wow.. before I even listened to this I was excited.  Since I was not familiar with this record, I checked out the video first and it is an absolute gem.

The description of the video is almost as good as the video itself.
---------------------------------------------

As touted by the music reviewers of the time, THOR's first album was one of the worst rock records ever made.

I too stake claim as the producer of this video that this is one of the WORST music videos ever made.

It was my first.

Yes, complete with cardboard swords, graffitti splattered castles and a midget (dwarf) in line with the classic icons like atom bombs and burnt video of the early years of MTV.

Embarrassing?

Yes, I know. But, at the time it seemed like a good idea.

What were we thinking?

============
Enjoy!

This isn't the worst album I have ever heard. In fact, its actually an average power metal record that has begun to grow on me a bit!

Pulling Teeth: Paranoid Illusions/Delusions with Hologram Cover and Red Splatter Vinyl

One of my favorite purchases recently is Pulling Teeth: Paranoid Illusions/Delusions

This took me a really long time to find at a reasonable price. This is the first pressing on A389 which has a hologram cover with the red splatter vinyl. I have never seen such interesting presentation.

The cover is both the concept of Paranoid Illusion and Delusion.. one is very lush and green.. lively and the other image is decayed and decrepit. A great execution.

This also comes packaged with a huge poster that when rotated shows both images.

Classic 1980's Butt Rock: Motley Crue and Guns N' Roses

I remember as a kid, listening to these Motley Crue albums on cassette while riding my bike.  I thought they were the most awesome thing ever.

These aren't really the type of records that I would collect, but when I saw them in Doug's lot, I was definitely excited! Dr Feelgood was the first record that I put on when I got back to Seattle.

Another 80's gem here with Appetite for Destruction.  One of the best rock recrods in history!

Grim Reaper: See You in Hell!

Classic Grim Reaper record.  Their first full length from 1984. It is cheesy power metal, but still sounds awesome!
