Witch: Self Titled

I had heard a lot about these guys but could not remember what they sounded like.

They are on Tee Pee records, which puts out a lot of great music.

It was cheap and then another 22% off because of the Easy Street Anniversary sale.

Coliseum: Self Titled

From Singles..

I searched through the whole store and in the last little batch I found this and the repress of No Salvation, which I had already bought.

This is a great album and the printing is really interesting. I like how random the pattern is and I think that it matches with the copy of No Salvation!

Coliseum: No Salvation

This is one of those records that I sat on for some reason when it was repressed.

I was about to buy it 3 or 4 times and something came up. Then.. finally, I got around to it and it was sold out!

So, instead of getting the repress, I was able to score a first press on grey-splatter for around the same price.

Thanks Carmen!!

Isis: Mosquito Control

So, I have had this on my wish list for a while. Its pretty competitive on ebay, but I usually check on the auctions and see if one falls in my price range.

This one came from a really sketchy auction where this guy was having some real trouble keeping his feedbacks good. Also, the photos were horrible and there was basically no info about his records.

Because of all of these factors, I score the record for about 1/3 of the price that it should have gone for.

Now.. fast forward about 5 weeks and I am still waiting to hear from this guy and get the record..

Finally.. after emailing him back and forth.. he remembered that the record was boxed up, but waiting for payment toward the Torche record I bought..

Believe it or not.. it finally shows up!

I didn't know what color it was on and I was assuming it was black.

Much to my shock.. this was in excellent condition despite poor packaging and it is printed on black and red splatter vinyl..

I really got lucky on this one!!

This is my favorite Isis album and I love the way this looks.

Torche: Self Titled (Remastered) White Vinyl

I bought a copy of Mosquito Control by Isis on ebay and the seller also had a copy of this.. the price was right and its a great record!

Daughters : Hell Songs

Another cool record from this shop, Daughters : Hell Songs. This is printed on really nice, heavy green wax and in a very thick sleeve. I really like this album and am a bit surprised to see it in such nice packaging.

Boris: Feedbacker

There was a cool record shop above Resolution Audio in Ballard. When they were closing, I went up to see what vinyl they had left. They turned me on to another vendor who happened to just load a ton of records in.

He had some really interesting stuff and I was able to find a great looking copy of this Boris record for a good price.

This is a repress of Boris: Feedbacker

3 Nevermore Records Enemies of Reality/Self Titled/Politics of Ecstasy

I have been searching to put together the Nevemore collection for a while. Some are pretty hard to come by. When they were in town they were carrying copies of a few releases for a fair price.

Cash was a bit tight so I ended up buying 3 out of 4 of them. The ones I got are Enemies of Reality, Self Titled and The Politics of Ecstasy.

I was happy to see that a couple of them are printed on color vinyl. All in all I am happy to have these and am looking forward to filling in the gaps with the rest!

Body Count: Cop Killer -- 1992 German Press

Body Count: Cop Killer

I have had this on my wish list for a long time. When this came out, we really thought that Ice-T was going to release a legit hardcore or Metal record.

When we got it, we were absolutely shocked at the songs.

Even now... 18 years later I am still not sure if this was supposed to be a joke or not.

Songs like Voodoo Bitch and Evil Dick.. there is no way that it could have meant to be serious.

This is a German press, but it is the pressing after the song Cop Killer was pulled, it was replaced with Freedom of Speech. I will definitely hang onto this copy, but keep an eye out for an uncensored version as well.

Judgment Night Soundtrack!!!

I have been looking for this forever.. I finally found a Judgment Night Soundtrack from a seller in Japan.

This was a real experiment for the time and I have never heard of anything similar.

Each song is a collaboration of 2 artists, one rap/hip hop and one hard rock/metal.

The band combinations are just classic in looking back now.

It was supposed to be released with a track from Rage Against the Machine and Tool, but apparently it did not make the final cut.

The ones that did make the record are....

1. "Just Another Victim" Helmet and House of Pain 4:23
2. "Fallin'" Teenage Fanclub and De La Soul 4:28
3. "Me, Myself, & My Microphone" Living Colour and Run DMC 3:10
4. "Judgment Night" Biohazard and Onyx 4:35
5. "Disorder" (Medley of 3 Exploited songs: "War", "UK '82", and "Disorder") Slayer and Ice-T 4:58
6. "Another Body Murdered" Faith No More and Boo-Yaa T.R.I.B.E. 4:24
7. "I Love You Mary Jane" Sonic Youth and Cypress Hill 3:52
8. "Freak Momma" Mudhoney and Sir Mix-A-Lot 4:00
9. "Missing Link" Dinosaur Jr. and Del tha Funkee Homosapien 3:59
10. "Come and Die" Therapy? and Fatal 4:27
11. "Real Thing" Pearl Jam and Cypress Hill 3:33

My favorite track

Converge: "Petitioning The Empty Skies" and "When Forever Comes Crashing"

This is a really cool combo pressing of Converge: "Petitioning The Empty Skies" and "When Forever Comes Crashing".

Like everything Converge does this looks excellent. The artwork is very unique and extremely well laid out throughout.

The offset with the vinyl coloring is a bit jarring, but still indicative of Converge.

Split color vinyl for each record and a nice 24x12 poster. A nice addition to the Converge records I have.

Champion: Promises Kept Final Show Pressing on Yellow!

I scored this at Singles after searching for a fair priced copy of this record.

While it was high on the list, there are so many versions out that I was not looking to spend a whole lot on it.

This one, I paid a bit more for, but its a great looking pressing and it was from the last show at El Corazon.... This style of vinyl coloring is one of my favorites.

Limited pressing with a stamp on the inner sleeve.

Gojira: The Way of All Flesh

Gojira: The Way of All Flesh.. this was my second experiment with purchasing records on Amazon and this went way better than the first attempt!!

I absolutely love this record and this band. Most everything that they have written is good and the records just seem to get better and better.

I have seen this on red and on black vinyl. It was purchased through Amazon sealed and it was cheaper than I was finding it on ebay or in the stores.

When I opened it, I was extremely happy to find that it is printed on purple vinyl! A limited run from the first press! I like it better than the red as it compliments the artwork better.

Strange Assortment from Singles Going Steady (3 of 3) Morbid Angel: Domination

This is an original pressing on Earache Records of the Death Metal classic Morbid Angel: Domination.

I have been slowly piecing together the old Morbid Angel records and this is a great find for a local record shop.

Strange Assortment from Singles Going Steady (2 of 3) Between the Buried and Me: Alaska

Another fantastic record here! Between the Buried and Me: Alaska

This is printed on double red vinyl and is on Victory Records.

I am really glad that they have custom BTBAM labels and not the stock Victory ones that most of their records seem to have.

Great presentation.

Strange Assortment from Singles Going Steady (1 of 3) Wu Tang Clan: 36 Chambers

I scored 3 really good records from Singles when I got back from Ireland.

They are all over the board, but all excellent.

Wu Tang Clan: 36 Chambers

This is one of my favorite rap records of all time.

First pressing

Pantera!! Cowboys from Hell and Vulgar Display of Power

These are the new Atco represses. They are both really nice. Simple black vinyl in gatefold sleeves.

Vulgar Display of Power is one of the most influential records I have ever heard.

I am really happy to have these now, but I did purchase them on Amazon and the experience was not very good at all. When I got them, they showed a bit of damage and one of them had stickers on it.
Plus, it took me almost a month to get them...

They are great records overall.. but I will replace them with the original presses one day.
