Side by Side: You're Only Young Once - So Do it Right

This is some old school NY Straight Edge Youth Crew style hardcore. This is an original pressing on Lost and Found records out of Germany. This was eventually repressed on Revelation Records on a 7" as Rev#5. This copy was released in 1992 and I have been having a lot of trouble finding any good information about it, only tons of info about the repress.

One Last Diversion.. 4 Hip Hop Records!

A couple of weeks ago I was looking to go for a nice drive after work to take advantage of a lovely evening and I found a guy who was about 45min east who had some hip hop records.

I went out there and picked up around 35 assorted records. Most of them are really good, half were my choices and the other half were his suggestions. It has been a ton of fun listening to them all, but I decided to only hang onto 6 or 7.

2 absolute classics are Dr Dre. : The Chronic and Snoop: Doggy Style! Also, I kept Stankonia from Outkast, Mobb Deep, Beastie Boys and Goodie Mob

A Diversion! A handful of Jazz Records

I am a big fan of Jazz and I am sure that in the future I will be collecting my favorites, but for now I tend to pick it up when I find it cheap. I was putting these in the shelf and thought to take a quick photo.

The top 3 I got from the thrift store and are just good overall Jazz records. The Jack Costanzo is actually from Hot Topic clearance and is some amazing Cuban Jazz. From that same order I got the John Coltrane live record.

Lastly is a record that I have sought out and is one of my favorite Jazz records of all time, Ornette Coleman: The Shape of Jazz to Come. If you get me started talking about this, it will be quite some time before I stop. If you have not heard it, I would suggest checking it out on Youtube or Grooveshark. Just amazing!

Tool: Undertow

Believe it or not, I actually found a copy of this at a garage sale in the boondocks of Washington state. There were about 4 records there including Gwen Stefani and some other stuff. I have never been a huge Tool fan, but this record is excellent!

Sepultura: Asire Original Picture Disc

This is one of very few occasions where I have purchased a picture disc on purpose. I found this used at the local East Street records on my lunch break. This is one of my favorite metal records of all time and was well worth the purchase. I may sell it in the future but it was just something that I could not pass up.

Cannibal Corpse: Butchered at Birth and Vile

I was able to get the Back on Black represses from 2 different sellers. I am looking for The Bleeding and Tomb of the Mutilated. These are great additions!

Jane's Addiction: Ritual record and Nothing Shocking Cover

I finally got the matching record for the Ritual cover that I have and the vinyl for the Nothing's Shocking cover. They got mixed up in this order and now I have both!
